Thanks so much - Sounds like I should switch to Debian from Ubuntu.

Switched to Debian host - built the kernel linux-yocto-clanton but then on modprobe threw up error for

unknown symbol mutex_lock. This most probably is a kernel mismatch. Probably exactly like this thread here

@AlexT_Intel can you provide me the procedure build the kernel module with 0.7.5 SD image. The corresponding BSP doesnt' seem to be compatible per the thread.

If possible can you please send these instructions anyway - I have moved over to LINUX_IMAGE.1.0.2 but these instruction might be helpful for me in future

Moved over to new LINUX_IMAGE.1.0.2 and could insert the same kernel modules built over BSP.0.7.5 but the device doesn't show up yet
