Hi All, would you please help me resolving my problem I just built a PC, selecting all the components to be compatible with WIDI, but have troubles installing "Intel® Wireless Display Software for Windows" v4.2.21.0.
have the following hardware configuration (pls check it here Intel Core i7-4790K, EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti, Cooler Master Elite 130 - System Build - PCPartPicker):
* i7 4790K (according to this: ARK | Intel® Core™ i7-4790K Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.40 GHz), it has Intel® HD Graphics 4600)
* MSI Z97I Gaming AC Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard
* Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260
* evga geforce gtx 750 TI
I just installed Win 7 64
* bios upgraded to the latest version
* Wifi drivers are working fine (downloaded latest version)
* installed Intel_VGA_Driver_10.18.10.3643, everything is fine
* but while installing widi of the latest version (http://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/intel_widi_9.zip) it says system video is not compatible with widi (see capture.png attached), and sends me to the page: Support Knowledge Base that lists all compatible hardware, that I have
* intel widi update tool doesn't work neither (see another screenshot attached)
* I tried to follow this Support Knowledge Base, downloaded Intel® Iris™ and HD graphics Driver for Windows* 7/8/8.1 64-bit v15.33.22.64.3621 but it won't install even though it seems to be for my CPU
I'm trying to figure out what's wrong. Since it's a new PC I can replace video card/etc to buy a proper one, but it seems I cannot figure out what's not right. Thanks for your help.
PS. attaching my Device manager screenshot (I uninstalled my geforce video drivers for now).
PSS. Is it worth trying windows 8?
