I recently acquired a DZ87KLT-75K. I have to say that installing it, configuring it, and loading the OS (Windows 8.1 64-bit), with secure boot, was one of the cleanest experiences I have had.
Yes, there were concerns - I did have an HD audio driver issue, which a manual install of the driver corrected. And, the 0346 bios was certainly welcome.
I had planned my upgrade for months, making sure to select the proper components (power supply, cables, cpu fan, case fans, cpu, memory, etc). I had read many of the answers provided by the Intel employees on this forum, which were very helpful.
My upgrade was exactly what I wanted, and expected. And, all works correctly on my DZ87KLT-75K. I know that this is not an answer to your post and problems. Still, I would have to recommend this board to others considering such an upgrade.
